Our Three Foundational Commitments
"Five years ago, we set out a goal to become a top five research university. We are. We set out a goal for deeper community integration. It’s happening. We aimed to raise the funds that are now transforming our campuses. We did. And we set out to improve the student experience and focus on research. We have.
All that and more is outlined in this, our first Community Report since before the pandemic. It’s my privilege to present it to you, because each day I am amazed by the innovation, the ability, the resilience, and the can-do attitude of the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ community—one that reflects Canada’s most enterprising city.Ìý
I’d also like to invite you to join us on the next steps of our journey. Whether you’re a student, a member of faculty or staff, or a Calgarian who would love to be our next partner, our doors are wide open. The ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ is a place to start something, we hope with you."

Fostering Community Partnerships
In 2020, the Glenbow Museum transferred a vast collection of documents, photographs, books, audio, and videos about the history of Western Canada. We also received the entire EMI music collection, which we’ve partnered with the National Music Centre to make available to the public.Ìý
Downtown Calgary is changing, with reanimated alleyways, revitalized empty spaces and a rejuvenated nine blocks around City Hall. And ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½â€™s School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape is part of the excitement, in partnership with the City and other partners — often working from the City Building Design Lab that’s operated from the old public library since 2019
²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ Entrepreneurial Excellence
