Overview
Dr. Schuyler Hinman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. He is part of The Applied CFD & Aero-Design Research Group. The group will focus on the application of advanced computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and optimization techniques to aero-design problems. In particular, they will focus on re-entry vehicles, projectile aerodynamics and control, heuristic optimization approaches, and novel UAV designs. As well, they will work on conceptualization design and multi-disciplinary optimization of advanced supersonic and space vehicles.
