Nico Peters’ research is based on using additive manufacturing of continuous carbon fiber in applications for satellite antenna reflectors, with focus on analysis of thermo-mechanical behaviour and reflectivity.

Nico obtained his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering at the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ in 2023. In his undergrad he undertook a 12-month internship with PCL Construction Inc. working with the engineering and project management teams on the Travers Solar Project. As part of his capstone, he assisted on the design validation with CAE and manufacture of an additively manufactured carbon fiber high-performance bicycle frame, leading to his interest in undertaking an M.Sc. in the field.
