Announcing the 2018 recipient of the E. Catherine Barclay Scholarship
The School of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures and Cultures is proud to announce this year's recipient of the . The is a generous award ($7500) granted to an outstanding full-time student registered in any faculty at the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ wishing to pursue studies in France through an , for two semesters. Award holders must select courses in which the language of instruction is French.
Congratulations to this year's exceptional award recipient, Miya Larsen, a third year student ofÌýInternational Relations and French.Ìý Miya currently aspires to pursue a career in International Law, where she hopes to advocate for the fair development of post-colonial states. Since she would like to do this through negotiation, she plans to utilize French throughout her career.Ìý
In her spare time, Miya enjoys playing both the guitar and the piano.Ìý She also enjoys volunteering as a tutor for individuals learning English as a second language, as a kitchen helper at a homelessÌýshelter, and as a member of hospitality at Saint Michael's Catholic Community.

About the E. Catherine Barclay Scholarship
Offered annually to an undergraduate student registered in any faculty at the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ wishing to pursue studies in France through an official exchange program, for two semesters. Award holders must select courses in which the language of instruction is French.
