Do you know an inspiring student graduating in 2024?
ݮƵ is home to many brilliant students who, during their studies, make the university and our community a better place. Whether through innovative research, humanitarian projects, student leadership, volunteering or — in some cases — all the above, these students’ significant contributions make a positive difference for their fellow students and our community.
The President’s Award for Excellence in Student Leadership formally recognizes students for their achievements and dedication to our community. Nominations, which opened Jan. 1, 2024, can be made by students, faculty, or staff.
“The students considered for this award push themselves to meet a high academic standard, and also give of their time in the service of others,” says Verity Turpin, vice-provost (student experience), who leads the selection committee for the award.
“This is an opportunity for our community to recognize the amazing efforts of our student leaders and share the stories of their impact on others as inspiration for us all.”
Up to five students are honoured with this prestigious award each year. You can read all about past award winners by visiting our award winners’ page.
