Dr. Yang Gao has been awarded the Fellowship of the UK Royal Institute of Navigation

The Department of Geomatics Engineering is pleased to announce that Dr. Yang Gao has been awarded the Fellowship of the UK Royal Institute of Navigation (RIN) for exceptional international leadership and significant educational impact in the field of high-performance PNT. The fellowship was announced at the RIN's Annual Meeting on 21 June 2023. RIN, founded in 1947, is a world-renowned non-profit professional society for navigation with membership spanning 60 countries and all continents.

Dr. Yang Gao is a Professor and Associate Head in Graduate Studies and Research in the Department of Geomatics Engineering at the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½. His research focuses on high precision GNSS and multi-sensor positioning and navigation systems. Dr. Gao has received many honors and awards for his significant contributions to the field who is also a Fellow of the US Institute of Navigation (ION), the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC), and the International Association of Geodesy (IAG).
