Grad student wins scholarship from International Bar Association
²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ Law PhD student Flavia Vieira de Castro has been awarded a Section on Energy, Environment, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Law (SEERIL) scholarship from the . The scholarships are awarded to students wishing to pursue advanced studies in energy and natural resources law.
"I am honoured to receive the 2023 SEERIL Law Studies Scholarship from the International Bar Association," says Vieira de Castro. "This award will definitely assist me in carrying on my PhD project at the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ - Faculty of Law. My research focuses on climate change liability for loss and damages from an ethical perspective. I am looking forward to exchanging knowledge with academics worldwide and contributing to the energy and environmental law debate through the lens of justice."
The aim of SEERIL and its committees is to advance the development and understanding of the law affecting oil and gas, mining, power, water, international construction projects and environmental, health and safety law.
