Celebrating a gift to future generations of ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ students
With Rex boarding a virtual rocket ship before smoke and streamers filled the foyer, the Hunter Student Commons was officially launched on Tuesday at the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½.
Elder Rod Hunter performed the Honour Song and Elder Reg Crowshoe blessed the space, calling the Hunter family honorary grandparents of the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ for the way they have given to future generations of students.
With self-guided tours, T-shirt guns hurling Celebrate Something shirts, and miniature red and yellow Crave cupcakes, hundreds of students piled into the building to celebrate and explore.
The next evening, friends, donors and community members gathered in the new Hunter Hub for Entrepreneurial Thinking headquarters located on the fourth floor of the Hunter Student Commons.
Guests celebrated the opening of the new space and the incredible impact the Hunter family has made in supporting this initiative and strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem across ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ and beyond.
Moving into this state-of-the-art space is an exciting milestone as the Hunter Hub continues to expand programming and create opportunities for students, innovators, community partners and others to collide and initiate ground-breaking ideas.
