With the holiday season quickly approaching, it is nearly time for the annual holiday celebration, an event that brings our university community together to celebrate our key accomplishments over the past year.

Hosted on Dec. 3 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the lobby of the EEEL building, this year鈥檚 celebration is open to all students, faculty and staff.

In addition to kicking off the holiday festivities, this year鈥檚 event will also be an opportunity for our campus community to recognize the legacy of President and Vice-Chancellor Elizabeth Cannon, who will be completing her tenure as president at the end of December.

鈥淥ver the past eight and a half years, President Cannon has been an inspirational leader and a champion for our community,鈥 says Jill Wyatt, chair of the university鈥檚 Board of Governors.

鈥淭hrough her dedication and commitment to the Eyes High vision, she has transformed the 草莓污视频导航 into one of Canada鈥檚 most recognized, dynamic institutions of teaching, learning, research and innovation.鈥

Celebration offers last chance to support 2018 United Way campaign

Following last year鈥檚 successful campaign, this year we set our sights higher with a new fundraising goal of $575,000 for the 2018 United Way campaign.

Get in the spirit of giving and stop by the United Way fundraising table during the holiday celebration to make a donation or purchase Give 鈥榥 Thanks stars, a thoughtful way to recognize a friend or colleague while contributing to the campaign.
