Nursing associate professor receives CIHR funding

Dr. Shane Sinclair's multicentred study EnACT gets a Spring 2021 CIHR Project Scheme Grant

Congratulations to ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ Nursing associate professor Dr. Shane Sinclair, whose multicentred (Winnipeg and Calgary) study EnACT has received a Spring 2021 CIHR Project Scheme Grant. Sinclair is also the director of the Compassion Research Lab (CRL) and a member of Cumming School of Medicine's Arnie Charbonneau Cancer Institute and of the Alberta Children's Hospital Research Institute.

EnACT (Evidence-informed, Competency-based, Accredited, Compassion Training) is a program being developed and validated for health-care providers (HCPs) working in acute care, long-term care and hospice.  It builds on Sinclair's program of research on compassion within the  including using the recently developed . The hope is to develop online training modules that are accessible to HCPs across Canada and beyond.
