Professor publishes book on Marital Rape and Law Reform

Professor Jennifer Koshan has published the book The Right to Say No: Marital Rape and Law Reform in Canada, Ghana, Kenya and Malawi (Hart Publishing, 2017). Jennifer served as co-editor of the book (with Melanie Randall and Patricia Nyaundi), co-authored the Introduction, and contributed two chapters: Chapter 5, The Criminalisation of Marital Rape and Law Reform in Canada: A Modest Feminist Success Story in Combatting Marital Rape Myths (available on ) and Chapter 9, The Judicial Treatment of Marital Rape in Canada: A Post-Criminalisation Case Study (available on ). The book is based in part on research conducted for the , an NGO focused on human rights approaches to combatting violence against women and girls.
