Professor Receives Funding from the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation
Professor Rudiger Tscherning has secured funding from the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation (RMMLF) for the preparation of teaching materials for a Conflict of Laws course that he will be teaching in the Winter 2017 semester. The funding is to support the development of innovative teaching materials that will allow for problem-based learning through a special focus on the international and comparative energy and natural resources sector. Professor Tscherning will work with a Faculty of Law student research assistant to prepare practical case studies and problems on private international law issues as they arise in energy and natural resources development. The focus will be on cross-border and international energy projects in the mining, oil and gas, LNG-chain, natural resources transportation, electricity generation and electricity transmission fields. Professor Tscherning would like to thank the RMMLF for its generous funding of this project.Â
