Professors and alumni contribute to new book
Professor Al Lucas is co-editor (with alumna Lila Barrera-Hernandez, LLM'96, Barry Barton, Lee Godden and Anita Ronne) of , published this week by Oxford University Press.
Al's chapter is titled 鈥淧articipatory Rights and Strategic Litigation: Benefits Forcing and Endowment Protection in Canadian Natural Resource Development鈥.
Professor Nigel Bankes鈥 chapter, co-authored with Astrid Kalkbrenner, PhD'15, is titled 鈥淟iability for Oil Spills from Oil and Gas Operations in Canada鈥檚 Arctic Waters鈥.
Lila Berrera-Hernandez also wrote the chapter 鈥淚ndigenous Peoples and Free, Prior and Informed Consent in Latin America.鈥
A chapter entitled, 鈥淏roadening Community and Regional Benefits from Energy Development Through Environmental Restoration Funds鈥 was contributed by Canadian Institute of Resources Law Graduate Fellow, Nonye Opara, LLM'14.
This book is the product of a research project carried out by members of the Academic Advisory Group (AAG) of the International Bar Association鈥檚 Section on Energy, Environment, Resources and Infrastructure Law. It is the eighth in a series of AAG books published by OUP. The AAG has included 草莓污视频导航 Law faculty members since its establishment in 1981.
