Quick Chat: Werklund’s Community-Based Bachelor of Education

New Werklund program allows single mom to achieve her goals for herself, family
Angela Higgins

Angela talks about how and why the Community-Based Bachelor of Education program works for her.

Here’s a riddle: How do you manage to raise three kids as a single parent, hold down a full time job, live in a small town--not too far from an urban centre, but just far enough to make a daily commute impossible--and manage to study full time towards a degree so that you can better your life and the lives of your children?

You’d probably be quick to respond: You don’t. You can’t. Not possible.

That would have been the answer to the riddle a year ago.  But today, Angela Higgins is a living example of how a new program offered at the Werklund School of Education allows her to maintain her personal and current professional life while building her future.

In this Quick Chat, Angela talks about how and why the Werklund Community-Based Bachelor of Education program works for her.
