  • Initiate leg swing from the hips to raise the foot up and across the body towards the opposing hand
  • Take a few shuffle steps between swings
  • Keep an upright chest
  • Bending at the hips
    • Cue "Tall hips"
    • Cue "Only swing as high as you are able; foot does not need to reach your hand"
  • Dynamic stretching of posterior chain (back, glutes, hamstrings)
  • Increases heart and breathing rates
