Allison George is a MSc graduate student in the Sports Injury Prevention Research Centre (SIRPC) under the supervision of Dr. Sarah Kenny. She completed her Exercise Science Diploma (Honours) at Lethbridge College in 2008 and her BA in Dance at the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ in 2013. She is a Certified Personal Trainer with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (2008), and NCCP level 1 diving and dance coach, and an Individual Conditioning level 3 Trainer with the YMCA. Allison has also been teaching dance since 2005 and is passionate about encouraging her students to excel and grow as dancers while working to reduce and prevent injury rates. 

The culmination of her two careers has guided her research interests into dance injury prevention in youth and the incorporation of periodization into recreational and competitive dance training.
