Ariel Dimler is a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Tara-Leigh McHugh. In 2013, she graduated from the University of Northern BC with a BSc Psychology, Honours. She then completed her MA in Physical Education and Recreation from the University of Alberta under the supervision of Dr. McHugh, where she researched the positive body image experiences of women involved in pole fitness. After a period of time away from academia, she joined the Faculty of Kinesiology to complete her doctorate degree, where she will study the intersection of positive body image, sport, gender identity, and sexual orientation.
