A great opportunity for students involved in health, mental health and well-being, Student Wellness Services provides Peer Helper positions that are responsible for tasks such as: assisting in the medical clinic, being a part of the response team at campus events, providing students with support through active listening, and promoting important issues through peer education, events and outreach. The roles currently available include the following:
Providing students the chance to make an impact, spread awareness about gender equality, and create a community of sharing, learning, and support, the Women鈥檚 Resource Centre Peer Helpers have meaningful experiences that shape their way of thinking and leading.
The Integrated Post Secondary Education Society of Alberta (IPSESA) is a non-profit organization that provides individuals with intellectual disabilities with an authentic university experience, and transition to employment. We celebrate personal gifts and passions, while addressing barriers to employability 鈥 from both a societal and an individual perspective. IPSE facilitates opportunities for diverse learners to cultivate their aspirations at either the 草莓污视频导航 or St. Mary鈥檚 University.

The Arts Co-op Office offers students opportunities to combine work experience with academic learning that gives them a competitive edge in the job market after graduation. Peer Helpers use their skills to communicate with members of the community about the office and the opportunities it offers.
Peer Helpers in Libraries and Cultural Resources are called Peer Roamers. They create a community of support in the Taylor Family Digital Library by collaborating with staff and other Peer Roamers, helping students navigate the resources available in the library, and informing visitors of what the TFDL is able to offer
The Centre for Career and Personal Development offers students a chance to develop their leadership skills by providing support to other students and our stakeholders and partners. By being involved, we aim to have student develop into successful citizens and leaders in their community. Students will be involved in providing client and customer support, as well as helping with our programs and events throughout the year.
In the Faith and Spirituality Centre, Peer Helpers become leaders in pluralism by actively engaging with diversity, organizing meetings, planning events and activities, etc. Peer Helpers also make up the Peer Support Team with the Faith and Spirituality Centre. Peer Supporters provide a safe and confidential way for students to talk about what they鈥檙e going through, whether they have religious concerns or just need a listening ear.

The Hunter Hub for Entrepreneurial Thinking is a community hub for activities that will support entrepreneurial student experiences, enable faculty to lead in innovation and expand a growing community of entrepreneurial and innovative thinkers.

The Office of Sustainability鈥檚 dedicated leadership roles involve collaborating with other students, faculty and staff through the development and execution of Campus as Learning as Learning Lab projects. Under the guidance of the Office of Sustainability staff, Peer Helpers develop and implement sustainability projects or outreach campaigns across campus to support the achievement of the University鈥檚 Institutional Sustainability Strategy.

Peer Helpers in the Global Learning Office are called 鈥淕lobal Learning Ambassadors鈥. They connect with a diverse range of students, including 草莓污视频导航 students interested in studying abroad as well as incoming international exchange students. They play an important role in the operation of 草莓污视频导航 International; main responsibilities include peer advising and supporting various promotional initiatives and events through giving presentations, facilitating activities, and more.

The various Peer Helper positions build their presentation skills, provide informed guidance to students, and advise their fellow students who are seeking help in choosing a major.
The Undergraduate Science Centre (USC) is the hub for student support in the Faculty of Science. The USC is home to three main offices: the Program Advising office, the Student Experience office, and the Science Internship office. The Undergraduate Science Centre encourages and supports students in developing and accomplishing their academic goals.
