Two people, one with shoulder length brown hair and one with short cropped brown hair, sit on the edge of a dock with their backs to the camera. They both hold open books over their heads. Past the dock a strip of calm water is visible with a pine tree forest on the opposite shore.

Identity Resource Pages

Everyone has multiple facets to their identity. How these facets intersect and are perceived by society shape our daily life. The pages below will guide you to reflect on your own identities and how they may relate to your global learning experience.

Identity-based research is a legitimate reason for choosing a global learning program! Many students find that their identity impacts the programs they are interested or comfortable participating in. It's your choice whether to disclose any identity considerations. Please know that disclosure will not negatively impact your application, and may actually benefit it.

On the pages below, you will see examples of cultural norms in other countries. These are intended as a reference point; keep in mind that these examples are not a guarantee of what you will experience abroad.
