Take part in this hands-on academic opportunity in the heart of the German Capital with students from over 60 countries around the world. 

This program offers courses during 4 different sub sessions in a variety of areas, such as technology, engineering, urban development, robotics, business, German language and many more. Berlin is one of the most creative and vibrant cities in Europe with an amazing arts, music and food scene to explore.

Program details

TU Berlin Summer School offers a variety of courses mostly in the fields of engineering, and business, as well as German language courses. 

6 ECTS = 1 ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ half course (3 units). Students need to take at least 2 terms in order to transfer back 1 or more courses.

  1. Costs

    Exchange students pay their tuition and academic fees to the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½. Other expenses are paid directly to the service provider. Students need to pay for their own  (not applicable for online version).

    Also, remember to include things like visas, insurance, vaccinations etc in your budget planning (not applicable for online version).

     

  2. Funding

    Did you know that you can take your ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ funding with you on exchange? 
    Since you remain a degree seeking student at ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ while on exchange you remain eligible for any  you are eligible to receive from the university as well as .

    Our office administers several awards, including the Global Access Fund (based on a funding-first model where students apply prior to committing to a global learning program) and the (students apply after being accepted to a global learning program; the amount varies year-to-year as the money is split among chosen recipients). Students may only receive these awards once. Please see the funding page, linked below, for more information.

    There is a good chance that TU Berlin will be able to provide some funding through the DAAD. This can include covering living expenses of 1000 Euros or flights costs. For more information  (not applicable for online version).

This exchange is open to regular, full-time students in any faculty at the U of C, who have completed at least 1 full year (10 courses) at the post-secondary level, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 (B-).
