Shelly-Ann Douse joins ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ Medical Group

UCMG manager serves in key business administration and finance role

The Cumming School of Medicine (CSM) is pleased to announce Shelly-Ann Douse’s appointment as manager, ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ Medical Group (UCMG). Her appointment took effect Feb. 25.

Shelly-Ann comes to the CSM from within the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½, having spent four years as a Senior Compliance Officer with Research Services. She’s a designated accountant with over 15 years of experience in financial reporting, budgeting, audit and compliance.

In her previous role, Shelly-Ann was responsible for report writing, financial reporting, budget development, risk mitigation and process review. She reviewed a range of research grant proposals, ensuring compliance with funder and ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ policies. Funding partners for these grants included the Canada Foundation for Innovation, Genome Canada,ÌýWestern Economic Diversification and Alberta Economic Development and Trade,Ìýtotalling more than $195 million per year.

Shelly-Ann completed a Master of Business Administration from ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½â€™s Haskayne School of Business this past year while working full-time.
