²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ ranked number 184 in the world

The ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ remains among the top 200 universities in the world, according to the Center for World University Rankings’ (CWUR) . ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ ranked eighth in Canada, and 184th in the world (up from 196 last year).

CWUR uses seven indicators to rank the world’s universities without relying on surveys and university data submissions. These are:

  • Quality of Education — measured by the number of a university's alumni who have won major international awards, prizes, and medals relative to the university's size (25 per cent)
  • Alumni Employment — measured by the number of a university's alumni who have held CEO positions at the world's top companies relative to the university's size (25 per cent)
  • Quality of Faculty — measured by the number of academics who have won major international awards, prizes, and medals (10 per cent)
  • Research Output — measured by the total number of research papers (10 per cent)
  • High Quality Publications — the number of research papers appearing in top-tier journals (10 per cent)
  • Influence — the number of research papers appearing in highly influential journals (10 per cent)
  • Citations — measured by the number of highly-cited research papers (10 per cent)

The results were published online . CWUR ranks the world’s top 1,000 universities.
