Dinos Athletics (The Interuniversity Athletic Program)

A big part of your ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ experience is Dinos Athletics. There is no better way to feel the proud 42 year history of our school than to sit in the stands with your fellow students, cheering the Dinos to victory. With a mission of lifting the spirit and pride of all members of the University community, Dinos Athletics belongs to everyone and we encourage you to enjoy the experience.

Dinos Athletics is a full-time member of the Canada West University Athletic Association. The Canada West is one of the most competitive conferences in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS). Canadian championships are sponsored by the CIS each year in various sports including basketball, football, hockey, swimming, soccer, wrestling, track and field, cross-country and volleyball for men; in basketball, swimming, soccer, track and field, cross-country, volleyball, wrestling, ice hockey, and field hockey for women.

The ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ is also a member of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference and competes in women's hockey and men's and women's golf.

Universityof Calgary Dinosmen compete in the regular schedule of the CANADA WEST in football, basketball, hockey, soccer, and volleyball and in CANADA WEST tournament-type activities such as track and field, cross-country swimming, wrestling, and as club teams in baseball, rugby, tennis and rowing.

Universityof Calgary Dinoswomen compete in the CANADA WEST competition in basketball, soccer, and volleyball on a schedule basis; in field hockey, ice hockey, swimming, cross-country, wrestling, and track and field on a tournament basis, and as club teams in fastball, rugby, ringette, tennis and rowing.

Professional coaches and excellent equipment and facilities are provided for the interuniversity athletic program. Students will find interuniversity athletics challenging and exciting as participants and interesting and entertaining as spectators.

Don't forget, all undergraduate and graduate students are admitted free of charge to all conference games upon presentation of proper I.D.
