Welcome from the Students' Union

Welcome to your Students’ Union (SU)! With the MacEwan Student Centre as our home, the SU exists to serve and represent ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ undergraduates. Through a unified voice we are committed to the quality of education, the quality of student life and the affordability and accessibility of postsecondary education.

Through our many roles we strive to foster a sense of pride and belonging for students. As building manager of the Student Centre, the hub of student activity on campus, your SU provides spaces, programs, products and services so you can do a little studying, eat and drink, meet with friends, enjoy some entertainment and have some fun. We believe that the student experience involves more than just the classroom.

Make the most of your experience at the U of C by getting out and getting involved. Join one of our more than 240 SU-sanctioned student clubs, volunteer, attend some great events and concerts, get involved in research or explore the range of programs and services your SU offers. There is something for all tastes and interests.

Your SU is in business and we offer student-priced printing and book consignment services of Bound & Copied, the entertainment of the Den and Mac Hall, the convenience of Stor and meeting and event space in the MacEwan Conference and Event Centre. As landlord, we also bring you a range of retail and service businesses and the popular food court. All proceeds from these student-owned businesses are reinvested directly into SU programs, services and events and help keep your student fees low.

Check out our range of academic support programs including scholarships, grants and bursaries, travel and conference funding, locker services and opportunities to get involved in research. As the representative of undergraduate students, we lobby and advocate on affordable and accessible education, student debt, quality of education and campus services and safe and affordable housing.

And if you need some advice on finding your way or finding what you need, drop by the SU Information Centre/Lost and Found or the SU Office in the Student Centre or check out our full range of services at .

Have a great year!
