3.5 Graduation
Requirements

To be awarded the Bachelor of Nursing degree from the ݮƵ:

Students must maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.00 at the end of Terms 2 and 4 and 2.50 at the end of Terms 6 and 8 (Years 3 and 4 for Medicine Hat College Program) as set out in 3.4 Student Standing.

Students admitted to the Bachelor of Nursing Program prior to Fall 2010 should refer to earlier Calendars.

Degrees "With Distinction"

The notation "With Distinction" will be inscribed on the permanent record and graduation parchment of all BN students whose grade point average is 3.60 or better in their most recent ten full-course equivalents taken through the ݮƵ Faculty of Nursing with no more than one “D” or “D+” grade and no failures.  The notation “With Distinction” will not be granted if a student obtains an “F” grade in a CR/F course which has been completed during the time period in which the last ten full-course equivalents have been taken.

Students who have taken part of their course work at another institution or who have transferred into the Faculty with fewer than ten full-course equivalents remaining to be completed for BN requirements may be granted a degree with distinction at the discretion of the Faculty.
