4.47.4 BSc Honours Psychology

A. FACULTY OF ARTS REQUIREMENTS

Students must adhere to the applicable Faculty of Arts requirements in 3.3.2 Honours Degrees.

B. MAJOR-FIELD WITH HONOURS REQUIREMENTS

Students must successfully complete a minimum of 60 units to a maximum of 72 units in Courses Constituting the Field of Psychology while fulfilling the following requirements:

  1. Introduction: 6 units Psychology 200, 201.

  2. Research Methods and Statistics: 6 units Psychology 300, 301.

  3. Foundation Courses:

    *A maximum of 3 units from Psychology 349, 351, 353 may be used to fulfill this requirement.

  4. History of Psychology: 3 units from Psychology 305 or 405.

  5. Applying Research Methods: 3 units from Psychology 400*, 415*, 425, 427, 430, 435, 478, 504, 505.
  6. *Students may count a maximum of 3 units from Psychology 400 toward their degree requirements.

  7. Advanced Research Methods: 3 units from Psychology 407, 411, 415*.

      *Psychology 415 cannot be used to satisfy both requirement 5 and 6.

    • Honours Courses: 9 units Psychology 501 and 598, which must be completed during the final year of program.

    • Psychology Options: An additional 15 units from Courses Constituting the Field of Psychology.

    • Inclusive of the courses above, at least 30 units must be at the 400 level or above.

    C. OTHER REQUIREMENTS
