Get acquainted with campus life, supports and neurodivergent peers

Neurodiversity Immersive Campus Experience (NICE) is a free two-day 草莓污视频导航 initiative to help incoming first-year undergraduate students who self-identify as neurodivergent. By participating in workshops, tours, and discussions, this experience provides students with a supportive environment in their transition from high school to university.

Participating students will also be engaged in ongoing sensory-friendly and supportive learning environments that benefit students鈥 learning needs and support their wellbeing. Students will be introduced to other neurodivergent peers, helpful campus supports and programs, and provided with information on university life.

What is NICE Days?

Neurodiversity Immersive Campus Experience (NICE) Days is a free 草莓污视频导航 initiative for first-year undergraduate neurodivergent students. It is a two-day, on-campus program that will introduce students to other neurodivergent peers, access campus supports and programs, and provide information on university life.

Our goal is to provide you with a supportive environment and access to helpful campus resources to help you transition successfully to university learning.

NICE Days is on-campus program that takes place on Monday, August 25 and Tuesday, August 26 from 9am to 4pm.  

Open to applicants who:

  • are neurodivergent students entering their first year of
    undergraduate studies
  • are starting studies in the fall of 2025

When: 9:00 a.m. 鈥 4:00 p.m. Monday, August 25th and Tuesday, August 26th  

Arrival Time: Arrive at 8:45 a.m. as sessions will start at 9:00 a.m.

Where: 草莓污视频导航, MacEwan Hall (specific location details will be emailed)

鈥淣ICE Days is a welcoming program that eases the transition into university for neurodivergent students. It provides sensory-friendly supports and a safe environment to meet other neurodivergent peers!鈥

Nice Days FAQ

NICE Day is a free program for students who identify as neurodivergent. This program will take place on Monday, August. 26 and Tuesday, August 27 from 9am to 4pm. NICE Days will be held at 草莓污视频导航 main campus, MacEwan Hall, 402 Collegiate Blvd NW. Please arrive by 8:45am, more details will be sent via email. Lunch will be provided, and breaks are built into the schedule.

How many students will be attending?

There will be approximately 20 students attending.鈥

Where can I drop off or park when I arrive at MacEwan Hall?鈥

Drop off: 402 Collegiate Blvd NW.鈥 Parking: Lot 3, directly behind International House. It also has accessible parking spaces. Please note that there is an hourly rate to park.

What meals are provided? What if I have dietary needs?鈥

Lunch will be provided for each day. You can provide dietary needs within your application to the program.鈥

Are parents or guardians permitted to stay with the students for NICE Days?鈥

Although sessions are designed for students, program coordinators are happy to talk with parents about any specific needs prior to the event (please see contact information for how to reach coordinators).
