A person who holds a three or four year bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from an institution recognized by the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ may pursue a program leading to a second or subsequent bachelor's degree (also known as an After Degree), provided he/she qualifies for admission and meets all University and Faculty regulations. Consultation with academic advisors regarding admission and graduation requirements is necessary. The following regulations apply:
1. Applicants will not be considered for admission to a second or subsequent degree program that, at the discretion of the University, is deemed similar or equivalent to a degree already attained (e.g. applicants with a prior Bachelor of Business Administration will not be admitted to a Bachelor of Commerce).
2. Applicants will not be considered for admission to a second or subsequent degree program in any major field, or equivalent, in which they already possess a degree.
3. Applicants holding a minor or equivalent will only be admitted to a second degree in the same area of the minor at the discretion of the University.
4. Normally, a minimum of 60 units (10 full-course equivalents) must be taken from the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½1. These 60 units (10 full-course equivalents) are in addition to any courses used to satisfy requirements for the previous credential(s).
5. Prerequisites may be waived or advanced standing granted at the discretion of the admitting Faculty.
6. A student admitted to a second or subsequent degree program must satisfy all corresponding degree and major field requirements current at the time of admission into the program.
7. Combined degrees are not available for second or subsequent baccalaureate degrees.
1Students completing a Faculty approved international exchange after admission to the program, may have the resulting courses applied towards these 60 units (10 full-course equivalents), at the discretion of the Faculty.
