University Entrance Programs are intended for students who wish to pursue a ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ undergraduate degree but do not currently meet the competitive admission average for their intended program. Students admitted to a University Entrance Program complete courses in Open Studies and are guaranteed admission to select undergraduate Arts or Science programs when they meet the requirements of the Undergraduate Admission guarantee (See A.5.5.3).
To be considered for University Entrance Programs, applicants must not currently hold a university degree and must meet the following academic requirements:

*For fall admission, students with 20 level equivalents may be granted conditional admission.
Admission decisions for students admitted conditionally are finalized when final transcripts are received confirming that 30 level course requirements have been met.
Students must complete all 30-level course requirements (or equivalent) by June 30. Students who do not finalize the requirements, including having a minimum 65% in English 30-1 (or equivalent) or provide final official transcripts by August 10 will have their admission and registration cancelled.
B. Average requirements*
Students are considered high school applicants until they have completed 12 units or more of academic course work from a recognized/accredited post-secondary institution.
After completing 12 or more units, students are considered transfer applicants. To determine whether a student is a transfer applicant, courses will be considered when completed by:
August 31 for winter admission December 31 for spring and summer admission April 31 for fall admission
High school applicant requirements:
1. Present a minimum 65 percent in English 30-1 or
2. Present a minimum 2.00 GPA in a transferrable post-secondary English course(s), and
3. Present successful completion of all required courses for admission.
For fall admission, High school students with courses in progress will be granted conditional admission based on 20 level required courses and 68% in English 20-1 (when English 30-1 is not available).
Transfer applicants:
1. Achieve a minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA on the most recent 12 units of academic post-secondary coursework, and
2. Present successful completion of all required courses for admission.
*All courses attempted within a term will be included except where the number of courses taken within a term results in the overall number of units exceeding 12. Should this occur, the highest grades from the oldest term being considered will be used to calculate the GPA. Grades for high school courses will not be used to calculate the GPA.
Students who do not meet one of these requirements may be considered for the University Entrance Programs under the Equitable and Inclusive Admission Process (section A.10).
