C.3 Open Studies Appeal Process

A student in Open Studies may appeal a decision regarding a course limit, academic assessment (final grade), withdrawn from Open Studies, student academic misconduct, or student non-academic misconduct.

Should a student wish to appeal a decision made by the Registrar regarding their course limit or being withdrawn from Open Studies must do so within 15 calendar days of the date on the communication from the Registrar, or designate. Appeals are submitted to the Vice-Provost (Student Experience) (vpse@ucalgary.ca).

Appeals relating to academic assessments (final grades), a decision regarding student academic misconduct, or a decision regarding student non-academic misconduct will follow the appeals process outlined in sections I (Reappraisal of Graded Term Work and Academic Assessments (final grades)), and J (Student Appeals to the University Appeals Committee and the University Appeals Tribunal).
