Students will relate their own life story and experiences to the wider human condition by reading a variety of literary texts and through writing in a variety of literary forms. An introduction to the breadth and complexity of educational studies. Unique among academic domains, educational studies not only arises in the intersections of many other fields 鈥 including psychology, sociology, anthropology, and a range of disciplinary domains 鈥 it must also be responsive to a rapidly changing world.

Preparation for individuals interested in understanding effective learning through the arts. Specific knowledge and technique in arts-based processes will be acquired and applied through collaborative, creating learning tasks. In this course students will experience, reflect upon, and learn about the processes and practices of arts integration. Examines the concomitant requirements within which teachers operate. Acts as a capstone course, enabling integration of theoretical understandings and field experiences.
