a) Students are required to complete the first two academic years (Pre-clerkship) of the MD Program within no more than four years from the initial date of registration, and complete the third academic year (Clerkship) within two years after the completion of the first two years of study. The Associate Dean, Undergraduate Medical Education (UME), may approve adjustments to timelines for students enrolled in the Leaders in Medicine (LIM) Program, to afford additional time to complete the requirements of the MD Program alongside the student’s graduate studies.
b) Students must have completed the MD Program within 8 academic years of program start date. This number includes repeat years and approved leaves of absence (single or
cumulative).
c) Students in the LIM Program will have a maximum of 10 academic years to complete both the MD and graduate programs.
d) Exceptions for maximum time limits may be requested from the Associate Dean, UME and must be approved by the Student Academic Review Committee (SARC).
