3.5.5 Academic Review

Academic performance is assessed following the Winter Term in which 18 units or more are completed by the student at the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ since their previous review. Courses in which a student has taken the flexible grading option (Credit Granted/CG) will count toward the minimum units for academic review but will not be included in the GPA calculation. Normally students who have not completed 18 units since their previous review and are in good standing or on regular academic probation will retain that standing until their next review.

The School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape reserves the right to review students’ academic standing at any time. The Associate Dean may permit a student to continue in program under specified conditions or require them to withdraw if specified conditions are not met. Students will be notified of these conditions in writing by the Associate Dean.

The GPA calculation for the academic review includes all ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ courses completed since the previous review. Both grades for a course that is repeated in the same review period are used in the GPA calculation. Transfer credit is not considered in the the academic review calculation.

Students placed on academic probation or required to withdraw as a result of an academic review will be notified in writing by the Associate Dean.
