CONCUSSION: FACTS, FICTION AND THE FUTURE (2018)
On November 18th 2018 we held a concussion symposium, with plenary sessions in the morning and accredited professional workshops in the afternoon. In the evening, there was a free public panel discussion featuring Jon Cornish, Kristina Groves, and Gord Stringer, as well as a host of local experts from the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ and ICRP.Â
GAIRDNER SYMPOSIUM (2016)
On November 29-30, 2016, the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ hosted the Gairdner Symposium on Concussion, a two-day event featuring a Public Forum and Scientific Symposium with researchers, policy-makers, and practitioners sharing ideas on the latest concussion research.
The Gairdner Symposium on Concussion was presented by the Gairdner Foundation and the Alberta Children’s Hospital Research Institute, the Hotchkiss Brain Institute and the Integrated Concussion Research Program at the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½. It was sponsored by the Cumming School of Medicine, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Kinesiology, Office of the Vice-President (Research), Alberta Innovates-Health Solutions, and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
