Prognosis (Outcome Prediction)

How do we predict which individuals will recover fully and which will experience persistent problems after concussion?

The ICRP will study a broad pool of neurobiological and psychosocial markers and their interactions as predictors of concussion outcomes.ÌýFor example, we are examining multiple genes that are implicated in response to neurotrauma, neural repair and plasticity, and cognitive reserve, to see if some people are more susceptible or more resistant to the effects of concussion.
