Hossein Zargaratalebi

Hossein is aPh.D.candidate in the ݮƵ and his main research is aimed at integrating ultrasensitive and selective electrochemical nano-biosensors with amicrofluidicplatform for early diagnosis of dementia and traumatic brain injury diseases. The developed screening approach, he is working on, is well validated and enables low-cost, rapid, highly sensitive, and reliable detection of concussion in early stages. In this regard, he has designed a multi-layer nanocomposite for enhancing the sensitivity of theelectrochemicalsensor and developed a microchip for multiplexed detection of concussion-related biomarkers. Since the concentration of biomarkers rapidly changes over time, the real-time monitoring of the alteration is another approach which he is working on. The deliverable will be the first dedicated diagnostic point-of-care device for the early detection of concussion.
