Krystle Wittevrongel
Krystle is a MSc candidate co-supervised by Dr. Keith Yeates and Dr. Jennifer Zwicker (School of Public Policy). She is involved in theÌýImplementation of the Maternal Neonatal Child & Youth (MNCY) Clinical Pathway (CP) for Acute Care of Paediatric Concussion: Uptake, Outcomes and Health ImpactsÌý²¹²Ô»å Pediatric Concussions in Alberta ±è°ù´ÇÂá±ð³¦³Ù²õ.Ìý
KrystleÌýÌýholds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½, with her Capstone focusing on exploring the current status of concussion policy in secondary schools in Alberta. Also from the ²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½ Krystle holds a Bachelor’s of Art degree in Development Studies and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biological Sciences. From the Centre for Refugee Studies at York University Krystle holds a Refugee and Forced Migration Studies Certificate.ÌýKrystle is passionate about public health and the utilization of policy to better support vulnerable populations.ÌýHer wide-rangingÌýresearch interests lie in the area of concussion,Ìýsocial determinants of health, health system efficiency, and developmental disabilities. Krystle currentlyÌýworks as a Research Associate in the Health Policy area of theÌý²ÝÝ®ÎÛÊÓƵµ¼º½'sÌýSchool of Public Policy.
